I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Boston University.
I am an applied micro-economist who uses original and administrative data and rigorous empirical methods to answer policy-relevant questions. My research focuses on core topics in public, political and labor economics, that pertain to the collection of revenues and the allocation of government resources, the design of social insurance policies, and the role of institutions and political economy considerations in policy making. In my job market paper, I investigate the consequences of independent oversight institutions for the financial health of local governments.
